I have been training with Ken for over three years now, on and off, but I have tried to maintain consistency. I usually train thrice a week and not less than 18 days a month.

When I first approached him, I was unfit and had gained some weight. In the eight months, I’ve trained with him, I gained lean muscle, something I thought was impossible to do. Given,  I was also cycling to work and that accelerated my weight loss goals. Achieving this made me realize anything is possible with patience and targeted training.

What I really appreciate about training with Ken is that he accommodates my injuries into the training program. I have had bad knees (diagnosed as chondromalacia patella) and a bad back from an injury I got through my cycling. He adapts the training to strengthen the weak muscles of both my back and knee area.

The other thing that keeps me going is the flexibility of training programs he has incorporated into my schedule. He understands my hectic work, life and the busy travel schedule I have. Additionally, he has moved with me as I have relocated from one region of Nairobi to the next. That is a commitment to the highest level! I think if the roles were reversed, I would have given up :-).

But, what makes me happy and committed to training is the personal touch. I see Ken not just as a trainer but a friend. I can talk to him about most things that are driving me crazy at work and he has solutions. It is comforting to know that my workouts are not mechanical otherwise there would be no difference in training with equipment in the gym!

This year my aim to regain my lean muscle and tone up more. Ken has been advising me more about nutrition and building lean muscles rather than focusing on weight loss. If I achieve this, it is a lifetime change that will hopefully be sustainable and practical to maintain.”

Personal Training Client“My training with Ken was a relatively short but highly rewarding stint. Overall I made exceptional gains in areas of fat loss and cardiovascular conditioning.

My Squash fitness and stamina increased remarkably and I could focus better on stroke play than worrying about if I would last the duration of the game! Ken’s HIIT training is hardcore to the extreme but the gains are there to see in no time.

 I also enjoyed the way he explained he explained what I was doing and why I was doing it. There was a scientific, biomechanical or logical explanation for all movements. Everything from nutrition, warm-up and post-workout stretching was articulately emphasized.
